LASZLO KOVACS is dead. that motherfucker deserved the Oscar in '69 for EASY RIDER. if there is one thing about that movie that holds up very well it is the cinematography. maybe some of you don't love the film as i do, but you gotta admit now, it LOOKS DAMN GOOD! in New Orleans they had some technical difficulties which forced Kovacs to shoot the scenes in 16mm, a problem at the time which ended up being the best thing that could have happened; that acid trip is about as accurate as could possibly be shot on film. no silly hallucinations, just the right crazy vibe...
